After a long period of testing, Unimog trucks began procurement in 1961. Purchased in large numbers, the Unimog was commissioned as an excellent tactical vehicle with various body structures and equipment developed to accommodate various uses within the Swiss Army. The development content was wide-ranging, from infantry transportation to firefighting. The Unimog, which is still used by the Swiss Army after 70 years, is explained using a large number of color photographs; each type that is active in the Swiss Army is explained.
