This is a book or magazine about tanks/AFVs and/or military modeling.

Primarily a pictorial publication, Ground Power has very little in the way of anything that could be described as an article. Each issue generally focuses on two to four different themes and is 144 pages of mostly b&w photos, one or two to a page, with Japanese captions. These features can run for several issues, hence the “(2)” or other numbers following some story topics. If you know what you are looking at, these are extremely valuable reference books. If you don’t, the lack of English captions could make things a bit difficult.

Issue #171 is mainly a continuation of a special on the German Panther medium tank (3), with a shorter feature on Japanese artillery (3). There are also some short bits on other topics and current events, with a color section on the open house events at Higashi Chitose Base in Hokkaido.
