Acrylic Mini X-21 Flat Base Paint 10ml

Tamiya Flat Base is an additive agent designed to turn Tamiya Gloss Bottle Paint colors into a flat finish. Simply mix a 1:1 ratio (NEVER MORE) into a paint well palette for brush painting or an empty bottle for airbrushing. Mix well and add thinner if needed.

NOTE: This agent is not a flat clear coat. Its an agent best used for converting Tamiya Gloss Colors into a flat sheen. Mixing a ratio greater than 1:1 will yield in a milky washed-out finish.

• X appointed colors have a glossy finish while XF designated colors are flat finish.
• The paint can be thinned for airbrushing using Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner.
• Items 81521 and 81021 (Tamiya X-21 Flat Base) can be used as a flattening agent on Tamiya Gloss bottle paints. Simply add any X-gloss color then add a flat base. Mixing ratio: 1:1
• The paint can be also thinned for airbrushing using Tamiya Lacquer Thinner. Using Tamiya Lacquer Thinner will yield faster drying results and a harder finish.
• For better paint brushing results use Tamiya Paint Retarder (item 87114) for a smoother brush stroke free finish.
