The name of the company means “Diamond” for quality and “T” for Tilt, like the name of the owner, Charles A. Tilt. The Diamond T 4-ton 6×6 series truck was introduced in production in early 1941 with 968/969/970 covered cargo truck, heavy wrecker, and dump truck versions.
