1/72 Tiger I SS 101st Tank Bat. w/Zimmerit Coating

This is a plastic military vehicle model.

“Dragon Armor” is a series of 1/72 scale finished AFV models made of die-cast metal and plastic. Each highly-detailed model is beautifully painted, marked and weather-finished. These are authentic scale models, quite different from tank-like die-cast toys from other die-cast car model manufacturers. The molds are incredibly fine for large 1/35 scale kits. With this Tiger I kit, Dragon has introduced the Zimmerit anti-magnetic mine coating, which is superbly molded on the surface of the turret and hull parts — a first in 1/72 scale (so new the molding technique is still patent pending)! Each tank comes packed in a transparent plastic case, too. The first entry in this Tiger I tank w/ Zimmerit Coating series is the Tiger I (late model) which fought the Normandy Campaign as part of the SS sPzAbt.101, the crack tank battalion featuring the famous tank ace Michael Wittmann. The Tiger 231 was said to have been the tank Wittmann actually rode during the battle of Villers-Bocage. Paint and markings are in the three-tone camouflage scheme.
