Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Sherman soldiered on in many different versions during WWII and beyond. This 76mm-gunned M4A3E8 differed from earlier variations with the adoption of the Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension (HVSS), with its wider tracks. Some vehicles also had elaborate applique armor attached to the hull and turret, a variant of which can be modeled with this kit from Dragon.

Dragon continues its winning ways with another great Sherman release in 1/72 scale. Excellent detail and fine moldings are hallmarks of this kit, which also features a great set of photo-etched parts and nicely done T66 single-pin steel tracks molded in flexible Dragon Styrene. The easy-to-assemble suspension represents the HVSS type with dual road wheels and idlers. Sprockets, HVSS system, lower hull, and .30 cal machine gun are all newly tooled parts for this kit. Includes Cartograf decals for four vehicles, including the much-debated “Flat Foot Floogie/Floosie.” To avoid controversy, Dragon has provided both spellings–“Floogie” and “Floosie”–so the modeler can decide which is correct (personally, I think it’s “Floogie”!). The “Thunderbolt VII” decals also include choices for the direction of the lightning in the hull logos. Dragon is all about choices!
