1/72 French Renault R40 light tank with 37mm SA38 (long barrel)

Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Renault R40 was a French light infantry tank used in the early stages of World War II.

It was an improved version of the Renault R35, featuring a new suspension system that enhanced ground clearance and cross-country mobility.
One of its main upgrades was the long-barreled SA38 37mm gun, mounted in a cast APX-R1 turret, providing greater firepower than the original R35.

The tank had a two-man crew and armor thickness ranging from 23mm to 58mm.
It weighed approximately 12 tons and had a top speed of 20 km/h.
Despite the improvements, production numbers were limited, and many units were captured by German forces after the fall of France.
