The SW-36 60cm searchlight was one of the most widely used anti-aircraft searchlights by the German military during World War II.
The SW-36 was capable of illuminating aircraft flying at an altitude of 1,500 meters at a range of 3 to 5 kilometers.
The SW-36 was powered by an 8kw generator based on an in-line 6-cylinder automobile engine.
This generator, which could send electricity to up to four SW-36s with one unit, was used in the same Sd.Ah.51 trailer as the SW-36 60cm searchlight when it was moved.
