Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Leopard tank was developed by Germany after World War II; in 1979, the Leopard 2 appeared as the third-generation main battle tank. The Leopard 2A4 was produced from 1985 to 1987, and the Leopard 2A4 was further improved with a combat capability enhancement called KWS II. A major feature of this tank is the additional armor attached to the front and both sides of the turret. The A5, a modified version of the A4, began its deployment in 1995. A total of 350 tanks have been refurbished to the A5 version; many of these later evolved into the Leopard 2A6 with a more powerful 55-caliber 120mm smoothbore. The upgrade to the A5 version was also carried out in countries other than Germany that had adopted the Leopard 2A4.

This kit from Dragon features the sharp and delicate molding that they’re known for, including the turret with its wedge-shaped armor. A machine gun is equipped on the upper part of the turret and cupola; the lower part of the hull features accurate reproduction of its road wheels and side skirts; its armament is delicately expressed as well.
