This action figure depicts a Wiking Division Armored Reconnaissance Unterscharfuhrer in late 1944. This division fought a losing holding action against the Soviets in their push west-ward and eventually surrendered to the Americans in Austria. His M-44 uniform is very plain and does not even show his rank insignia or awards as was typical for late war uniforms of this type. The only insignia is that on his M43 field cap. He is carrying a MP-44 with extra clips, water bottles, bread bag and gas mask canister. The face on this figure is one of the best I have seen from Dragon and depicts the intensity so common in soldiers facing close combat.
