This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The 17-pounder gun was Britain’s last hope to counter and pierce the thick armor on the German Tiger and Panther tanks. Tamiya has at last produced the Sherman IC Firefly in 1/48 scale, in their ‘Military Miniature Vehicle’ series. As an actual vehicle, it used the M4’s welded hull, but retained the sharp-nose gear housing case. The model has the die cast chassis and partially-linked injection-plastic tracks that have become standard in this series. Four sets of decals are included.
