The German 88mm gun demonstrated high performance as an anti-tank gun. The 88mm gun, developed by Krupp in 1928, was formalized as the Flak18, and later improved based on experience in the Spanish Civil War as the Flak36. In addition to making it easier to replace the barrel, the mechanism for attaching and detaching the carriage was also improved, enabling faster work. After that, the Flak37 equipped with a meter-type ballistic calculator appeared. In World War II, it was mainly deployed by the Air Force, and it was also deployed by the Army as an anti-tank gun. It continued to be active until the end of the war, and is known as one of the masterpiece guns of World War II.

This model kit from Dragon can be assembled as either the Flak36 type or Flak37 type.
