The Kettenkraut, which entered production in Germany in 1941, served as a footwear for German soldiers and was used by the German Air Force to transport pilots and tow fighter planes.
The Kettenkraut’s versatility and maneuverability were demonstrated by the “Winter Ketten,” a wide crawler for use on snow, which was installed to further improve the Kettenkraut’s performance on snow.
The Winter Ketten, which is used on snow, is now available as a 1/35 scale 3D printed kit.
The kit also includes the starting wheel and three tires (one for the body and two for the towing cargo) that reproduce the tread pattern used in many cases.
This detail-up parts set precisely reproduces details such as bolts and tread patterns that cannot be omitted with plastic parts.
