The Pz.Kpfw. 161-IV tank was one of the most trusted tanks of German soldiers during World War II. Production started in 1936, and since the body design remained the same from the start, many improvements and enhancements were made over the course of the war without changing its basic dimensions; a total of about 8,500 of this tank were produced. It was used for the entirety of the war, and the J type was the final production type. It was a successor to the H type, with simplified equipment and reduced fuel consumption. The biggest difference between the H and J types was that the turret rotation motor was removed and replaced by manual operation. The very early/early production type of the J type was manufactured from April to May 1944.

This model from Dragon fully recreates the powerful form of the J type tank, with Schulzen armor around the side of the hull and turret. The lower part of the hull is slide-molded for extra detail; the wheels and sprocket wheels are also sharply reproduced. A belt-type DS track is included. The turret is molded with a three-way slide mold for accuracy, and the hatches can be opened and closed after assembly. Order yours today!
