The Panzer IV was a German tank highly trusted by soldiers in World War II. Initially, it was planned as an infantry support tank, but due to its large body size and the ability to be modified according to the battle situation, it continued to be active as a main battle tank throughout the war. Among them, the G type was equipped with a long-barreled 43-caliber 75mm tank gun, KwK40L/43, from the beginning. Production started in May 1942 as a successor to the F2, equipped with a long-barreled 75mm gun on the F type from mid-production. Approximately 1,600 of this tank were manufactured by June 1943. Improvements had been made to each part during production, including strengthening the armor by installing additional armor plates on the front of the hull and the fighting compartment. It was also deployed in the 1st SS Armored Division and LAH Division, and it demonstrated its high anti-tank attack power against the Soviet Army in the winter battle of Kharkov.

This model kit from Dragon realistically reproduces the style of the G type equipped with a long-barreled 75mm gun. The basic lower part of the hull expresses the details of the hatch and the bolts on the underside in great detail. The final drive housing, idler wheels, road wheels, suspension, and other undercarriage parts have been recreated with a three-dimensional feel thanks to the assembly-type Magic Tracks. The upper part of the hull has separate parts for the side fenders and engine deck grille. The turret is molded with a three-way slide mold to reliably model its unique shape; smoke discharger parts are also included, and the main gun mantlet on the front of the turret is realistically finished. Aluminum parts for the gun barrel are included, as are photo-etched parts and four figures in winter uniforms seen during the battle at Kharkov!
