1/35 US Army M14E2 Automatic Rifle

Description

This is a resin-cast field gun model kit.

Near the end of World War II, the M14 rifle was born from a plan to improve the M1 Garland rifle within the U.S. Army.

The M14 was deployed to the U.S. Army and Marine Corps, but the Vietnam War, in which the U.S. Army and Marine Corps intervened, was mainly fought in jungle warfare, where the recoil of rapid-fire rifles was large and the M14, with its long barrel, was not suitable in places where vegetation grew thickly.

The M14E2 was built to solve this problem, and a hand grip was added to stabilize the gun during continuous firing.

The M14E2 is a 1/35 scale kit of the M14E2.

The resin molding reproduces three-dimensional details that are difficult to reproduce with plastic molding.

Although this rifle was involved in the Vietnam War, it is a valuable model since it has not been made into a kit.

The bayonet and the sling (carrying belt) can be reproduced with the included etched parts.
