Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle kit with some resin parts.

The Soviet Army deployed rocket launchers, known as Katyusya, extensively in WWII, to great effect in destroying enemy units. Great numbers of US Studebaker trucks were sent to Russia to support them. The Russians turned many of them into self-propelled rocket launchers, mounting rail-type launchers. GUM KA has given us the mass-produced model which was deployed in the middle of the war. Truck and launcher parts are injection plastic parts from Italeri toolings. The new resin cast driver’s cabin and engine hood were added to correct the basic kit (post-war ZIS-151 truck actually). The engine grille, the characteristic part of the American truck design, is made with the included fine brass photo-etched set. No figures or decals are included.
