The M4 medium tank is a 30-ton class medium tank that boasts high mobility and firepower, developed and manufactured in the United States during World War II. The M4A3 is a type equipped with a GAA liquid-cooled V8 engine that produces 450 horsepower, replacing the previous air-cooled radial aircraft engine. This type has improved maneuverability on rough terrain due to the combination of spiral spring suspension and wide tracks. The Thunderbolt VII was an M4A3 equipped with additional armor through field modifications, and was piloted by Lt. Col. Creighton W. Abrams. It destroyed many German tanks, and by the end of the war, 50 German fighting vehicles had been destroyed.
