This is an injection-plastic field gun model kit.

Developed during the Korean war and seeing extensive service with the US Marines in Vietnam, the M40A1 106mm recoilless rifle was a potent weapon. The M40A1 appeared in a variety of configurations, such as mounted on a single-wheeled tripod, mounted in an M151A1C Mutt, or mounted six at a time to the Ontos tracked armored vehicle. The Skybow kit depicts the M40A1 mounted on its single-wheeled tripod mount, complete with .50 cal spotting rifle. 8 full rounds are included, four each of HEP-T and HEAT, as well as two spent cartridges.
