Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

Based on the chassis of the Praga 38(t) tank and fitted with a 150mm Howitzer, approximately 500 Grille H and M models were built. Despite the vulnerabilities of its thin armor and high profile, these SPGs were operational until war’s end. Alan, of St. Petersburg, Russia produced this kit. The moldings are fair. Although Alan kits are “short run”, they definitely qualify as being at the top end of “short run” kits, or even the lower end of “mainstream” producers’ kits. While not of “Big T” quality perhaps, with a little care a very attractive miniature can be made from this kit. Tracks are individual-link construction, a big advance over the “rubber band” tracks seen in some “major” producers’ kits. Alan’s Grille-M kit is molded in light gray plastic and includes a nicely molded Howitzer, fighting compartment interior, and leaf spring suspension units. Markings included for 4 vehicles.
