The German Berghe Hetzer, featuring the 2cm Flak 38, Late Variant, emerged as a pivotal asset in the latter phase of the Great War within the destroyer unit. This unit also introduced a recovery tank, essential for maintaining combat strength during the war’s conclusion, equipped with a side-mounted jib crane for engine and part replacement. The deployment of these recovery tanks was met with appreciation for their contribution. Some variants were enhanced with the 2cm Flak 38 for self-defense. Notably, the distinction between the early and late models lies in the addition of an engine hatch on the top. The kit encompasses both the late and early model undercarriage and exhaust pipes, offering a comprehensive depiction of the tank’s evolutionary stages.
