The British Army had been discussing plans to create military vehicles in cooperation with Canada since the 1930’s. And from this plan, Chevrolet and Ford developed a series of military trucks equipped with a common body for each chassis. The C60L was a 3-ton truck with a158 inch wheelbase. When war started, there was a large demand for the C60 and more than 500,000 units were produced together from both companies. In addition, various special types are produced based on the basic chassis.
