Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Panzer I was the first tank of the new German Army. It had a long service life as a special purpose vehicle even after it became obsolete at the start of the War in 1939. The Flakpanzer I AA tank is one such special purpose variation.

Dragon has created a newly-tooled chassis exclusively for this release. Their previous Panzer I (DRA6186) kit was of the Ausf.B, with a lengthened chassis. This AA tank was converted from Ausf.A. In addition to the change in length, Dragon also provides a fully detailed interior. The thin frontal armor is nicely rendered in brass photo-etched parts. The 2cm Flak. 38 gun is Dragon’s standard model, but three types of ammo feed covers and different lengths of actuating rods set by the specific elevating angles are also provided. As with the actual vehicle, the gun-towing trailer was converted to an ammo carrier by adding ammo container parts. Tracks are non-workable individual links in injection plastic. . Bullet-proof vision blocks are rendered in clear plastic. Very nice kit at a great price. This tiny but thoroughly detailed model will shine in your AFV collection. No figures included.
