The 40mm wz.36 anti-aircraft gun was the basic anti-aircraft weapon of the Polish Army in 1939. It was a Swedish 40mm L/60 anti-aircraft gun, developed in 1933 by Bofors. The guns were manufactured in Poland under license. Durig World War II and after, the gun has been used by many armies such as the Polish, Swedish, German, British, American, Hungarian, Japanese, French, Finnish, Dutch, Greek, Norwegian, etc.
