1/35 MIM-23 HAWK M192 Anti-aircraft Missile Launcher

Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

Following on the heels of its 1/35 scale M727 HAWK Tracked Guided Missile Equipment Carrier (Item No. 3583), Dragon is offering a more common configuration of the widely used American surface-to-air missile (SAM) system. This time the plastic kit features a towed M192 trailer-mounted launcher fitted with triple MIM-23 missiles. Being mounted on a single-axle trailer made the SAM system semi-mobile in terms of transportation. The medium-range HAWK is an acronym for Homing All-the-Way Killer. The US Army introduced the HAWK in 1959. The 590kg HAWK missile had a maximum range of 50km and ceiling of 20km.

The front details and outrigger legs have intricate detail as well as correctly reproduced base sides. Launcher control unit for remote firing is included. Full missile cradle and elevation mechanism where missiles can elevate on launcher are featured.
