Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

After the fall of France, the German Army obtained many French tanks. These soon became obsolete and unsuitable for the regular tank units. So the German Army in France decided to convert these tanks to self-propelled guns with anti-tank guns and howitzers. This was a good supplement for the German Army in the west, because they were given the low priority to receive new German-made equipment. The 10.5cm leFH18(Sf) SP Howitzer is one of such conversions. It applied the German standard 10.5cm howitzer on the French Hotchkiss H39 chassis. Moldings are good (new tooling by Trumpeter) but only to the standards of the 1980’s. The basic accessories to decorate the fighting compartment, radios, machinegun with ammo drums and a scissors telescope are included. To match the nature of the open topped SPG model, the fighting compartments are divided into many parts. Modelling skill to adjust the fit, and filling and sanding will be required. A set of national insignia decals and two figures are included.
