The German Panzer IV is one of the main battle tanks that was active throughout World War II. It was highly trusted among soldiers, and was known as “the German warhorse.” Although it was introduced at the beginning of the war, it continued to evolve as the war progressed. Among the many variation types of the Panzer IV, the H type is said to be the most produced version. Nearly 4,000 of this tank were produced from April 1943 to January 1944. Its main gun was a 48-caliber 75mm KwK40. Additional armor plate known as “Schulzen” was installed around the turret and on the sides of the hull as standard equipment. In the late production type, the induction wheels are made by casting, and the upper rollers were entirely made of metal; other improvements were made to increase production efficiency. On the front lines, along with the Panther tank, it continued to fight hard until the end of the war as the main force of German tank units.

This model kit from Dragon reproduces the H type of the Panzer IV tank. The Schulzen is reproduced with metal parts for a realistic finish and solid appearance. The turret is molded with a three-way slide mold for accuracy; the 7.5cm main gun has a machined aluminum barrel and a 3D-printed muzzle brake.
