The Panzer IV, which was called the warhorse of the German Army and was active as the main force of the German tank unit from the beginning to the end of World War II, had an excellent basic design from the beginning, and variations of it have been created as base vehicles. As the importance of close-support vehicles for infantry in urban warfare increased with the German-Soviet war, the IV Assault Tank Blumbear was created. It used the hull of the Panzer IV, equipped with a sealed fixed battle compartment, and the main gun was a 12-caliber 15cm assault howitzer StuH43. Production began in April 1943, and it was immediately deployed to the Eastern Front and participated in the Battle of Kursk. After that, each part was repaired, and a medium-term production type and a late-production type also appeared. These tanks were used until the end of the war.

Dragon’s model kit reproduces the initial production type of the IV assault tank Blubber at 1/35 scale. In addition to its realistically finished assembly type track and Magic Track, this kit also includes new parts that accurately express the details of the road wheels. The undercarriage is also highly realistic; the lower part of the hull is integrally molded using a two-way slide mold for reliable assembly. The tall and uniquely shaped battle room at the top of the hull is integrated using a four-way slide mold to accurately reproduce its shape. The battle compartment roof is a separate part with finely molded details. The hatch can be assembled opened or closed; the main gun inside the battle room that can be seen from the hatch is reproduced in full detail, including the gun mount.
