This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Jagdtiger heavy tank destroyer was developed in 1943 as a tank destroyer equipped with a 55-caliber 12.8cm tank gun. Developed by Henschel, the Jagdtiger shared many of its components with the Tiger II tank, but the body was specially designed, with a large fixed battle compartment at the top and a 12.8cm gun. As development progressed, Dr. Porsche proposed adopting a vertical external torsion bar suspension used in the Elefant and other tanks to increase productivity; the Jagdtiger Porsche type was then produced. Unfortunately, as a result of testing, the vehicle with the unique suspension did not perform as expected, and was not mass-produced. It is said that only ten of this tank were ever made.

Dragon’s 1/35-scale model kit of the Jagdtiger reproduces the Porsche type suspension-equipped vehicle; the lower part of the hull is modeled after the external vertical torsion bar suspension of the Porsche type. With eight wheels on each side, this tank differs from the Henschel type hull. The tracks are prefabricated Magic Tracks; the upper part of the hull not only features the powerful fixed fighting compartment, but also loads of delicately reproduced details such as hatches, louvers, and in-vehicle tools. The hull features Zimmerit coating that prevents magnetic adsorption mines, and aluminum gun barrels are also included. This kit features four tank soldier figures as bonus parts, too!
