Russian BREM-1 Armoured Recovery Vehicle’s main role is to rescue the damaged tanks and other armoured vehicles on the battlefield without a fixed repair and maintenance facility. It was used to assist the damaged vehicles under fire or help the crew during on-site maintenance.
BREM-1 is based on the T-72 MBT chassis and is powered by a V-46 multi-fuel diesel engine, developing 780 hp. This ARV is operated by a crew of three and is equipped with a pre-dozer. The hull has the same level of protection as the T-72 MBT and has a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun.
