This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
Developed in the early 1990’s to replace the aging M551 Sheridan light tanks, the M8 Armored Gun System was built based on the idea of having a light tank that could be air lifted and dropped using C-130’s. The M8 was ordered into production in 1995 however in 1997 the order was cancelled to free up budget for other projects. A total of six M8’s were built. The role of the M8 is now filled in the US Army by the M1128 Mobile Gun System.
