This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Sd.Kfz.167 IV assault gun uses the body of the Panzer IV, which was developed by Krupp in February 1943. The already deployed Sturmgeschutz III demonstrated excellent combat power in defensive battles in the latter half of the war, and the increasing demand for assault guns from the front also support its development. In addition, in 1943, an Allied air raid damaged the production plan of the Sturmgeschutz III, forcing a stop to production. The initial type of the IV assault gun carried the III assault gun G type’s battle room mounted on the body of the IV tank H type. Mass production started with modifications to clear the gaps and steps due to differences in the body and the cockpit; production started in December 1943, and by its end in April 1945, about 1,100 of this vehicle had been built. In the type produced from 1944, each part had been changed, like a remote-controlled machine gun that can be fired from inside the vehicle, attached to the upper part of the hull.

This model kit from Dragon fully reproduces the Sd.Kfz.167 IV’s low, sharp style; this is the late production type. The lower part of the hull, the upper part of the battle room, and the engine deck parts are all slide-molded for accuracy and reliable assembly. The suspension and road wheels are also accurately reproduced; pre-assembled Magic Tracks are included for a realistic finish. The commander’s hatch, driver’s hatch, and engine hatch on the upper part of the vehicle can all be opened and closed; the remote-controlled machine gun is also modeled on the upper part of the hull. The Scherzen is made with metal parts; the base of the main gun is exactingly reproduced, and the interior of the battle room is amazingly detailed.
