This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Sisu A-45 is a light off-road truck produced by the Finnish heavy vehicle manufacturer SAT from 1970 to 1982. It was equipped with a four-wheel-drive mechanism that enhanced off-road driving. Its payload was 4,150kg, and the engine was an in-line six-cylinder diesel engine, with two types available: a naturally aspirated type and a turbocharger. This vehicle is used by the Finnish Armed Forces, Finnish Railways, the United Nations Armed Forces, etc., as well as by Mil-Safari, a military-related event company.

This model kit from Platz was developed by the Finnish model maker Finmill Model. The simple form of the truck realistically reproduces the shape of the ladder frame, its characteristic cabin, and the details of the cargo bed. The frame also expresses part of the engine mounted on the midship. The canvas cover is a separate part, and the kit can be assembled with or without the canvas cover in place.
