1/72 WW.II German Army Sd.Kfz.181 Pz.Kpfw.VI (P) Porsche Tiger

Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger (P) was Dr. Ferdinand Porsche’s entry into the Tiger heavy tank design competition. Although the turret would go on to be used in the well-known production Tiger tank, Dr. Porsche’s chassis was rejected, although several prototypes were built (debate still rages on as to whether or not any of these actually saw action). The remaining number of Tiger (P) chassis were then used to build the Ferdinand and Elefant tank destroyers, which did indeed see action to varying degrees of success.

Here’s another superb 1/72 scale release from Dragon! Sharply molded in gray styrene, this kit features a nice set of photo-etched detail parts, a slide-molded one-piece main gun barrel with open muzzle, and accurately detailed injection-molded link-and-length tracks (heavy on the links!). Markings included for one vehicle.
