The heavy tank Tiger I, developed by Germany in World War II, began production in 1942 and continued until August 1944. During that time, the total production was only about 1,300 vehicles, but improvements and renovations continued, and there were minor differences in specifications. The 88mm gun, which boasted overwhelming power as an anti-tank gun, can compete with heavily armored Allied and Soviet tanks. In addition, it adopted heavy armor, including 100mm frontal armor that kept Alien attacks at bay. Its appearance on the battlefield struck fear into the Allied forces until the end of the war.

The Tiger I, which was first sent to the Eastern Front where the struggle with Soviet heavy tanks was ongoing, was subsequently sent to the German African Corps on the North African Front. At the time of 1943, the Tiger I Early Type deployed in the 504th Heavy Tank Battalion was deployed with the 1st Company, some on the North African front, and the 2nd Company’s vehicles in Sicily, Italy.
