This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The heavy tank Tiger I, developed by Germany in World War II, began production in 1942 and continued until August 1944. During that time, the total production was only about 1,300 vehicles, but improvements and renovations continued, and there were minor differences in specifications. The 88mm gun, which boasted overwhelming power as an anti-tank gun, can compete with heavily armored Allied and Soviet tanks. In addition, it adopted heavy armor, including 100mm frontal armor that kept Alien attacks at bay. Its appearance on the battlefield struck fear into the Allied forces until the end of the war.
The Tiger I, which was first sent to the Eastern Front where the struggle with Soviet heavy tanks was ongoing, was subsequently sent to the German African Corps on the North African Front. At the time of 1943, the Tiger I Early Type deployed in the 504th Heavy Tank Battalion was deployed with the 1st Company, some on the North African front, and the 2nd Company’s vehicles in Sicily, Italy.
This model kit from Waltersons reproduces the early production version of the Tiger I, one of the strongest German tanks of World War II. This is the Tiger I of the 504th Heavy Tank Battalion, which deployed and operated the Tiger I on the North African front in 1943. This kit features a configuration with a reduced number of parts to give even beginning modelers confidence! The reproduction of the turret, hull, undercarriage, etc. is highly realistic when assembled; the details of the exhaust pipe, engine deck, turret and more unique to the early version of the Tiger I are firmly modeled. The track is a belt type that’s easy to assemble. Wires, smoke dischargers, spare tracks, etc. equipped on the hull are reproduced with separate parts to add a three-dimensional effect to the finished item. The turret can be rotated after completion, and the commander’s hatch can be built opened or closed; a tank soldier figure is included too. Decals are included for the 504th Heavy Tank Battalion deployed in Tunisia in 1943. Place your order today!
