Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Kettenkrad was a unique light vehicle developed by the German Army during the Second World War. Half-tracks combining crawler tracks and tires were made in various countries, but the German Army developed a number of vehicles to increase the mobility of their trooops; the Kettenkrad was the smallest of those vehicles. It was produced from 1941 to 1944, and more than 8,000 of this two-seat vehicle were made. It was equipped with a 1500cc water-cooled 4 cylinder inline engine. It was widely used not only for personnel, but also for hauling various materials and even small firearms by use of a cart attached to the rear. It was used on every front line, from the desert area of the North African front to the muddy grounds of the Eastern front.

This model kit will be about 32.9cm long when completed and is molded in great detail to duplicate the Kettenkrad’s unique style, engine, and suspension. The engine cover can be opened and closed, and the tracks are movable. Decals for 3 markings versions are included.
