Antar is a fictional spaceship designed by G. Harry Stine in 1951. At that time, Stine was a Range Safety Officer at White Sands Proving Ground by day, and in the evenings he gave lectures to young people interested in the US Space Program. He was also a talented writer who authored both Science Fact and Science Fiction stories. Since no real spaceships existed yet, he created many different ones for use in his stories and as props for the lectures he gave. This Estes model is an authentic replica based of the original design created by Stine.
