This is a plastic military vehicle model.
The M4 Sherman tank is a medium tank of the U.S. Army, which was formalized in 1941; mass production began in 1942. It was used not only by the U.S. Army, but also by the British Army, and in October 1942, the British Army first fought against the German Army on the North African front. This tank had many variations and updates over its lifespan; by the end of the war, the production number of each type was nearly 50,000, making it the most-produced tank.
The 37th Tank Battalion of the 4th Armored Division, active on the European front during World War II, was one of the units equipped with the Sherman, and Commander Abrams’ vehicle was nicknamed “Thunderbolt.”
This pre-assembled and painted model from Dragon reproduces the M4A3 Sherman’s 76.2mm gun-mounted type, and the type that uses the wet type for ammunition storage. The suspension is the vertical spiral spring suspension, VVSS type. The upper part of the hull is sharply molded to capture its unique shape; the in-vehicle tools are also highly detailed, as is the turret. The markings reproduce the machine nicknamed “Thunderbolt IV,” piloted by Lieutenant Colonel Abrams of the 4th Armored Division, active in the Battle of the Bulge.
