The United States had a hard time fighting guerillas during the Vietnam War, so they devised the LRRP (Long-Range Reconnaissance Patrol). This was a team of members of the U.S. Army Special Operations Group who had undergone specialized training, and several militias who had received combat training from these members in the field, from gathering information on the counter-guerilla side to combat. This figure set presents us with two U.S. soldiers from this team, traveling up a steep slope; the rifleman gives a hand to the radio operator who’s burdened with his heavy equipment.
